Roofing Before & After in Houston, TX
Talk is cheap in roofing. Everyone says they do clean work until you see the torn-off decking and the old flashing piled in the yard. What actually separates a good roof from a bad one shows up in photos: straight ridge lines, tight drip edge, clean valleys. Tilehurst Roofing Houston keeps a running record of the jobs we finish because you should see exactly what your money buys before you spend it. These are representative transformations from roofs across Houston, from the Heights to Katy to Clear Lake.

Recent Transformations
Full Asphalt Shingle Replacement After Storm Damage in Katy

The north slope had lost enough shingles that the homeowner could see daylight from the attic. We stripped everything to the decking, replaced two sheets of water-damaged plywood, then installed new underlayment, drip edge, and a full GAF system with ridge cap. The result is a roof that sheds Houston’s afternoon downpours without a single lifted tab.
Valley Leak Repair in the Heights

Older bungalows in the Heights carry a lot of charm and, often, a lot of deferred maintenance. This valley had been patched twice with roofing cement, and water was still finding its way through during every hard rain. We pulled the old metal, replaced the underlayment beneath it, and installed new valley flashing cut to fit the roof’s actual pitch. The leak has not returned through two full Houston storm seasons.
Flashing Replacement Around a Chimney in Sugar Land

The old flashing had pulled away from the brick, leaving a gap wide enough to slide a finger through. We removed the damaged step flashing, cut reglets into the mortar joints for counter flashing, and installed new metal that moves with the house instead of fighting it. Chimney leaks are among the most common calls we get in Sugar Land, and this is how we put them to bed.
Low-Slope Section Re-Roofed with Modified Bitumen in Pearland

This back patio roof was original to the house and had given up. The old roll roofing had blistered in the heat and cracked along every seam. We tore it off, repaired the substrate, and installed a two-ply modified bitumen system designed for low-slope applications. It handles standing water after a heavy rain without weeping into the ceiling below.
Hail Damage Restoration on a Two-Story in Cypress

After a spring hailstorm, the homeowner’s insurance adjuster found bruising on nearly every slope. We worked with their claim, provided a written scope of the damage, and replaced the entire field with Owens Corning Duration shingles rated for impact. The new roof carries a written guarantee, and the homeowner now has a roof that will likely outlast the next three hailstorms.
Ridge Vent and Ridge Cap Restoration in Tomball

The ridge is the spine of a roof, and this one had cracked and lifted along the peak. Birds had started nesting in the gap, which tells you how wide it had gotten. We removed the old vent, fastened the decking beneath, and installed a continuous ridge vent with new ridge cap shingles. The attic breathes now, and the roofline looks straight from the street.
